We believe that music has also contributed to our childrens' successes in other areas of their lives, especially school. They are confident in presentation and performance situations due to the years of practice and performance opportunities provided by Harmony Road.

We want to especially thank Keiko, our childrens' teacher for the past 8 years. Keiko is a tireless, committed and loving teacher who inspires our kids with her passion and exceptional teaching abilities. We just don't' know where we'd be without Harmony Road.

Harmony Road Music Center has been an integral part of our lives since our eldest son, Grant, took a "Music in Me" class at the age of 3. Grant is now 13 and Hillary, our daughter, is 11. Our children are both accomplished musicians due in large part to Harmony Road. They both have perfect or near-perfect pitch. Grant plays in a rock band called Still Pending. Hillary sings and composes music. Our lives are filled with music and are richer for it. We cannot express strongly enough how much we believe in the philosophy and quality of the school and teaching staff at Harmony Road.

My name is Timothy Schwer. I'm a Sophomore at Clackamas High this year and have been taking lessons from Harmony Road for about 5 years, and in that time I've learned so much about the nuances of music. Ever since my days in Keyboard Prep, I've loved music--listening, playing, or composing it. Harmony Road really helped me realize that. I'd like to thank my teacher Judy Stanley especially for encouraging me to go the extra year and for working around my (at times) challenging schedule. Since taking lessons, I've made it into the top two choirs at my high school, and continue to love and perform music. Thanks to everyone at Harmony Road who helped make my early musical education a success!

Both of my sons started in the Harmony Road Music Program when they were quite young (kindergarten and preschool), and I have been incredibly impressed with the program. Now at ages 11 and 9 they are both very good piano players, but what they have learned at Harmony Road Music goes way beyond that.

At Harmony Road, they have gained an understanding of the building blocks of music which will serve as a great foundation no matter which type of music they may decide to pursue in the future. The emphasis on singing and solfege singing has helped both boys sing well and on key (unlike many of their friends). I have nothing but praise for this wonderful program.
