For toddlers and Preschoolers
Toddler Tunes was developed specifically for the 1½ - 3-year-old student. Classes are completely experiential and focused on providing students with a joyful music-making program. You and your toddler will experience rhythms, finger plays, active movement games, keyboard exploration and singing. Students do not learn to play the piano at this age. Toddler class enrollment is open throughout the semester.
Classes meet 30 minutes weekly for 18-week terms.
School-age Children
Harmony Road - ages 5–7
The Young Musician - ages 7–9
Keyboard Prep - ages 9–12
Students are taught with age-appropriate strategies and have the same learning goals.
In all three learning tracts, students develop “inner hearing” and learn music through a combination of effective and enjoyable activities that include rhythm and movement, solfege and expressive singing, and ear training. They gain experience in solo and ensemble keyboard playing and develop an understanding of harmony and applied theory. In addition to learning to read, write and play music, they are introduced to improvising, composing and transposing. Parents participate in class time and are guided in follow-up activities.
Classes meet 55 minutes weekly for 20-week terms.
The Harmony Road and Young Musician meet for four semesters.
Keyboard Prep meets for three.
The Music in Me & More Music in Me
The Music in Me and More Music in Me courses were developed for preschoolers, ages 3 - 5. Graduates of this four-semester course are encouraged to continue their piano study in group classes. Parents participate in class time and are guided in follow-up activities. This is a four-semester program.

Piano Classes
Our group piano classes begin at the intermediate level. Students learn and perfect technical skills and continue to study theory, arranging and composition. They learn selections of Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Modern and Contemporary music—playing both solos and duets. They have the opportunity to perform at recitals each year and participate in Oregon Federated Music Clubs’ annual Festival. Students can continue their study at Harmony Road through high school.
